Navi Mumbai covers 345 sq km. In comparison, the size of the Dholera city that the Gujarat Industrial Development Board plans to build with private participation will be all of 360 sq km.

Dholera is just one of the five similar-sized greenfield cities that India hopes to build in the next few years. They are Manesar-Bawal in Haryana, Indore-Mhow in Madhya Pradesh, and Dighi and Nasik-Igatpuri in Maharashtra — all along the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. This means the plan is to have five brand new cities, which are bigger than Navi Mumbai, in the next five years.

I have almost decided and would be moving in this direction to build new cities. Finally I seem to have decided on what my goal would be in life.

It is too easy to be said than done. I have been thinking about it. I have talked with my friends, who are just not interested at such a weird idea of mine. But then when I have decided it is time to moev along that path.

What I need now is more guidance and study on how a new cities is planned. How to move and where to go from day1. It would take a long time but I would say that if anyone does share a vision similar to this, do get connected.
